It’s been a while Mr. Balmart since our last conversation. I remember those days… crazy days don’t you think? One thing I remeber the most is the cloudy sky, the remarkable gray sky that was pending upon your little head. And now, look at you! You have just… how can I say it properly?… evolved… Let me tell you something my friend. Something that you certainly know already. It’s about evolution, about evolving… When you evolve it implies that you let behind your old clothes, not only letting them in the dark past, but forgetting your left them. That’s the main consideration to follow once someone decides to go trough his life for better.
Sometimes, in our moments of hesitation, we start to think on wearing the old clothes. In our moments of doubt and fear, we think that the solution to the dark moment is to wear old clothes, old habits, old thinking… If we accomplish to do that and we jump into the pool of past things lefted away, we end with a lot of headaches and realizing that we had come backwards in our path and that we are sadly condemned to walk it through again and again until we finally understand that there’s no use on wearing old clothes. Any try of wearing old clothes is a failure in our way of evolution as better persons.
There’s is no need of the old and weared-out ways. You have a new set of capabilities just in front of your nose. You just have to reach forward to keep going. And, don’t take me wrong, I know you will do it. You are known in the “union” as the most stubborn bloody bastard someone has known when evoling is related.
So, maybe your wondering, why am I telling you all this bunch of crap? The answer to this is easy: because sometimes when we transit uncertain roads, we need someone to yell it out for us, as a lighthouse in the angry seas. Whenever you reach for the new, for the unknown, for the unseen that life has for all those who dare to walk ahead (not backwards) you need someone or something that recalls you why are you traveling those roads, but above all, to remember you that ahead, just a little steps further you are know, there’s light, plenty of it, as to illuminate your better dreams and expectations.
As the whisky commercial says “Keep Walking” and reach forward. In the past you will not find anything or anyone who can be useful for the goals the life has for you this days. You are approching to the next base camp, get your strenghts together and keep walking. There’s people who need to hear about your experience, who need someone to show that the new roads, the unseen and the unknown can actually be damn good.
Anyway, I was passing by and I couldn’t ressist the temptation of having a tea with you my favorite writer, and teacher, even though you ratter black coffee and cigar.
I hope to hear back from you. I bet you have very interesting things to tell me. The rumors say that you ended up with a beauty princess which is half your age… Is that true? I wouldn’t be surprised. You have always “admired” the young flesh.
I have to go now my friend. I know you were feeling bored this days, just have a little more patience and you will finally understand it all… as a way of speaking obviously.
